Balancing Tech and Wellbeing - Rethinking Work in the Digital Age

New international webinar series on Digital Manufacturing

The Project Group “Digital Manufacturing” is excited to announce a new international webinar series “From Lab to Line: Practical OSH Strategies for Digital Manufacturing” focusing on the intersections of Occupational Safety and Health, Wellbeing, AI, Digitalization, and Industrial Security. Experts from around the world will share insights, strategies, and innovations shaping the future of safe and sustainable workplaces. This series will highlight cutting-edge technologies, policy developments, and best practices across industries. Whether you're a researcher, policymaker, or practitioner, this is your opportunity to connect and collaborate globally.

In the upcoming webinar Dr. Keyao (Eden) Li, Senior Lecturer, Edith Cowan University; Perth, Australia, will talk about "Balancing Tech and Wellbeing - Rethinking Work in the Digital Age"

Industries are aiming to create healthier, safer, and more productive workplaces. Understanding psychosocial work factors is key to achieving sustainable improvements. AI and digital technologies can have both positive and negative impacts on workers’ physical, psychological, and social well-being. It is important to deeply understand the impacts—and, even more crucially, the interventions that can optimise the benefits and mitigate risks. This knowledge can guide the design of human-centric workplaces with continuous evaluation and feedback.

Eden is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Law at the Edith Cowan University at Perth, Australia. Her research looks at integrating advanced digital and data science solutions into practical business applications and organisational workflows. As the world moves to a digital future, her research generates knowledge that will be essential to ensure that workers effectively and productively use new data technologies in all industries where digital transformation is taking place.

This is a webinar by ISSA Section Machine and System Safety - Digital Manufacturing and held in English.
